A Miracle

As many of you know, I got asked by a very good friend of mine to be at the birth of their 8th child. Wow! That was the most amazing experience of my life! It is incredible the way God designed the Human body, and the little baby inside! I saw a full hand-up close experience of a little baby being born. Let me tell you, it's not at all what I saw parts of in the movies. Even though Andie had an epidural, she was very calm! And announcing...

Owen Kimery Davidson
Born 4:41 pm
Monday June 18th 2012
6 lbs 14 ozs || 20 inches

After we got to the hospital, Tali, Ashley and I sat talked and read for a few hours while Andie was having contractions. It all happened so fast! The nurse came in and all the sudden, Ashley got up from her chair, and that told me that it was time. Ashley is a doula (pronounced "doó la",also known as a labour coach and originating from the Ancient Greek word δούλη meaning female servant or slave) is a nonmedical person who assists a woman before, during, or after childbirth, as well as her partner and/or family by providing information, physical assistance, and emotional support.)

so, as she got up from her chair, I knew it was time...! The nurses got everything ready, and voila!...It was done! Little Owen is so adorable! I watched the other Davidson kids today, and when Scott and Andie came home from the hospital, I got to hold him again!!! Wow! To think that God created such an amazing little human being! It brings me to Psalm 139:13-18,

"For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.
