Seasons

Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter...why can't I be grateful for all?
During this last week, we had a really cold day. My mom called it an, "Eat-em-up-day". I personally thought it was way too cold. You see, I hate the cold, and absolutely adore the later spring, summer, and early fall.
It made me think, "Why can't I ever be grateful for the seasons that God blesses me with." I then started thinking of all the good things for each season. For the spring time...flowers blossom, and it's beautiful everywhere. For the summer time, it's swimming, watching the evening stars, and sleeping outside in a tent. For Fall, it's the beautiful change of colors on the leaves. For Winter, it's sledding with our family and friends, or having a hot cup of cocoa with some marshmallows in it, sitting by the fire, and maybe watching a movie.
For each First day of the season our family has made a tradition. For the first day of spring it's roasting marshmallows, for Summer it's having a Root Beer Float, for Fall, it's Carmel Apples, and for Winter, it's Vanilla Milk...mmm.

Just like the seasons of the year, we have seasons in our lives too.
There is a season of Joy, laughter, and love, while other times it's seasons of trials, temptations, and tribulations. There is a time for everything under heaven.
So, let's be grateful for the seasons, for they teach us a great many things.

~Ecclesiastes 3:1-8~
"There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—
2
A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
3
A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4
A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
5
A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
6
A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7
A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
8
A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war and a time for peace."
