As I write this post, I am at tears because of something that went on tonight amongst some Christians.
The title of this post is called, "Gay Marriages... is it wrong?" To answer this question, I'd like to post a couple Bible verses.
"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination..." ~Leviticus 18:22~
"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them."~Leviticus 20:13~
"But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female..." ~Mark 10:6~
"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." ~1st Corinthians 6:9-10~
So, is Gay marriage wrong? According to scripture, yes!
I got many remarks telling me that I didn't interpret the Bible correctly, and that it's okay to joke around with. The Bible clearly states that it is an "abomination". Sin is not to be taken lightly. If it is, then I beg of you, please, check your heart.
The Bible says, "Do not be deceived, God is nor mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." ~Galatians 6:7~
Whatever sin we may have committed, if we go to God and confess that sin to Him and ask for forgiveness, we will be forgiven! A Christian in Greek is "Follower of Christ". What we do, reflects upon Him. If we disgrace His name, God will chasten us. May we learn to love righteousness and to hate sin.
I'd encourage ya'll to go to this website/page, and look at what their response is:

Some people will mock and even hate me for posting this. but, my question is this: If you think that Gay marriage is right, or okay to joke about, than you might consider this passage of scripture, "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless indeed you are disqualified." ~2nd Corinthians 13:5~

Good post Caitlin and Amen!
ReplyDeleteThank you Bethany!
DeleteI'm glad you're standing up for the truth regardless of what others might think about you. More Christians need to do that! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Emilu! And thank you for your sweet words!
DeleteAMEN!! A SIN is a SIN no matter how big or small... And the Bible is clear on gay's an abomination plain as day that does not mean we hate the person but we do not love the SIN either it means we follow the bible and we do not bend to this world and what they think is right. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." ~Romans 12:2 KJV~ Way to go caitlin
DeleteThank you Heather for your sweet words!
DeleteThank you for standing on the Word of God, Caitlin. May we be bold in our walk with God! Hugs and blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Stephanie! I really appreciate it!
DeleteThank you very much Sharron! All glory be to God!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the article Caitlin. I definitely think that we need more sober mindedness in the church today... we take sin way too lightly in this day and age. Thanks for taking a stand and staying true to the Word of God!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Thank you Ashley! Yes, you're right! We do need more sober mindedness in the church.
DeleteIn our day and age, it takes courage to stand up and address this issue from a biblical perspective; so it's great that you're not afraid to do so. Exercising patience is difficult when dealing with people who don't understand the severity of their sin, but God will use your words to change hearts if that is His plan. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words Josh!
DeleteGood job Caitlin! I totally agree with you! It's so neat that you stood up like that!
